A McCoy Family reunion

Family.  I don't think there are many words that can bring up feelings of joy, love, fun, belonging and forever like the word family does.

I had the pleasure of hanging out with this family during a very special trip where they could all be together in North Carolina.  It was fun to see all the cousins being goofy and creative together.  Great to see sisters and brothers sharing fun times together.  And what joy it was for me to get to see a family all together creating new memories.  I realize now I used the word together a lot... but that's just what it was.... TOGETHER!  Thank you for letting me have a glimpse into your world!

A Fall Friday

When this sweet mama and I chatted about where to go, I was glad when she chose downtown Matthews.  What a break we had that we were able to do this fall shoot on a Friday morning.  Little foot traffic is always great for a photo shoot and this day was traffic free.  I love the care free attitude of this go-with-the flow family.  I always try and tell families to please just relax and it felt like this bunch really did arrive with the relaxed, fun attitude I always hope for.  We tried a bunch of spots and got some great shots of all…. Just look at these kiddos.  Absolutely adorable!

A little longer than usual : )

When I look back at these pictures I remember the day I hung out with this newest member of this sweet family.  This was kind of an unusual shoot that we had to spread out a little due to some family stuff.... but oh, were they worth it!  Take a look at this sleepy little cutie below and know that while he looks adorable in these images, we really didn't have to work too hard for this one.  He was just perfect and performed beyond expectations.

Fall 2017

Happy Fall, Y'all!

Can I say it too many times? Fall is my favorite!

I know I've said it before, but fall is my favorite!  Seriously, can the colors get any more beautiful in fall.  This beautiful family and I spent a lovely afternoon enjoying the fall colors at a beautiful park with the most amazing trees.  This sweet bunch have two of the loveliest girls with great attitudes.  They were so gracious and willing to keep going. If you've been out on a shoot with me before you know that I will continue to keep shooting and shooting until the kids quit. These girls really held up.  I love that!

Family fall sessions are my favorite...

Fall is my favorite and I think I've found my new favorite photography spot.  This family and I met up on one of those amazing fall Saturdays where the weather was crisp and perfect.  What a sweet bunch these three were.  I love meeting up with families, hearing their story and getting to know them better.  This was just one of those days where I got a little peek into their world.  It's clear these two parents are so in love with their kiddo and for good reason.... he's a cutie with great energy and a fun sense of humor.

The blessing of friends

The Saturday afternoon I spent with this sweet family was beginning to finally feel like fall.  This meant cooler temps, less humidity and the ability to have a photo session not end in a sticky mess.  I love these days and I loved hanging out with this lovely family of five.  I've not told this mom this, but she's always been on my radar as someone I'd like to get to know better.  So what a joy it was to get to meet up with her crew and get some pics of her very photogenic family.  This mama is that friendly face you see when you are going about your day to day at school and around town.  Running into her always brightens up my day.  I'm blessed to call her, and the rest of her family, friends.

Terrific Twelve

Oh, where do I start with this sweet family?  First let me say, that it's a rare day when I can go to a place with water where one little munchkin doesn't find a way to spill into the pond.  And yet, these kiddos were truly as sweet as pie, such great listeners and completely dry by the end of the shoot, I might add.  Sure, it made my day super easy.  And then it doesn't hurt that they are all super cute.  This family has been blessed with great kiddos and good looking genes.  Here's a few of my favorites below.  To see the slideshow of more of our time together check out this link: Terrific Twelve Slideshow
