Signs of Spring

Spring is crazy beautiful here in Charlotte!  I think I didn't realize how quickly things would come back to life.  Just a week and a half ago the forest in our backyard looked like trunks and sticks  Suddenly we can see our canopy of trees beginning to become lush and green.
These first pictures are of Megan holding a teeny green worm inching it's way along her little fingers.  These little worms hang from the trees and our first thought was that they are caterpillars.  With a little research I've found that while they are super cute, these little guys are called canker worms and can do a heck of a lot of damage eating all the foliage of your trees.  Hopefully we don't have too many in our trees!

Sisters

I spent an afternoon with two very sweet sisters.  We had so much fun exploring several sites looking for fun things to shoot.  This is a great age for fun with photography.  These two cuties were full of energy and up for anything.   We loved talking about poses and ideas for the shoot.  And while they are not biological sisters, they are sisters in every other way.  Some of the fun things we talked about during our session are the special bonds that only sisters share.  These two girlys get it!  A sister is someone you can confide in, someone who will get you when no one else does, will help you whenever and be a friend for life.  I'm glad these two girls share that amazing connection.  They are truly blessed to have each other!

Spring Road

My last few posts have been about spring.  Here's yet another one.  Spring is just itching to start here in Charlotte.  In my neighborhood all the beautiful pear trees are just starting to bloom.  I'm sure a quick storm will surely wipe out all these amazing blossoms any day now, so I just had to get out there and capture a few shots with my little beauty.

Spring is coming!!

I'm beginning to see hints of spring in our yard!  To all you North Carolinians the birds here just look normal to you, but to us newbies from California these birds are pretty amazing.  My little bird watchers sit by the window regularly to see what's feeding just right outside our window.
