A darling four year old

This four year old was fantastic.  I'd give him a pose idea and he was so willing to give me a cute look and a smile.  I'll take that any day!  He has the sweetest attitude and was so well behaved.

I think this first picture of this very lovely mom and her boy is my favorite from the day.  She has a great connection with her little guy.  I have a super sweet boy myself and know how great boys can be!

A walk in San Dimas

My cousin Andrea and I both share a love of photography.  We had so much fun the other day exploring San Dimas looking for good photo spots with my very patient and willing model, Katelyn.  It was fun to see how Andrea worked with Kate... positioning her in different poses.  We even explored the inside of the Walker House (aka theSan Dimas Mansion) that now has a restaurant called Saffron.  I ate there years ago for my very first Valentine's Day with my sweetheart.  This Victorian building was built in 1885 and still retains the original feel of the era.

Andrea studies a lot of photographers and
was great at directing some poses today.

Thanks Andrea and Kate for a fun afternoon!

Laguna Beach Wedding

I spent a fun day again with my photographer friend Tricia and her husband Doug.  It is so neat that she lets me come along on her weddings.  (Trish ~ I really appreciate it).  This wedding was held at Tivoli Terrace along Laguna Canyon Road.  What an interesting and eclectic wedding venue.  It has a really neat garden patio feel with fun touches of antiques all around.  By the way, the food is scrumptious!  Following the wedding we went down to the beach to take some pictures of this very sweet couple.  They have a fun engagement story.  The groom placed his proposal on a note in a bottle...see the bottle picture below.  They were at one of the Laguna Beaches admiring the ocean when he tossed the bottle (while she wasn't looking) into the ocean.  Of course the tide brought the bottle back up to the beach and the bride-to-be found it.  How romantic!

Pasadena Senior Session

These pictures are the rest of the senior session I did the other day.  We started off in San Marino and then moved over to Pasadena for a few pictures at this historic landmark bridge.  Again, these adorable girls gave me suggestion after suggestion for the look they wanted.... very helpful!  I have to say that senior sessions are totally fun and I sure hope I'm able to do more of them in the future.  These three seniors have such a great friendship.  And like the picture says... friends for life.

San Marino Senior Session

I had the most fun shooting these very pretty girls, one handsome guy and an adorable dog.  Three of the girls are seniors graduating in June and this was their senior session.  It was super fun photographing these willing models.  I loved how they helped come up with ideas for poses.  On this day we went to two locations.  Here is a peek at the beginning of our photo shoot.  More from our second location to follow in another post...

An energetic morning

I spent a very fun morning the other day with this energetic and inspirational mom, her two very cute kiddos and a fantastically well-behaved dog.  This mom is the sort of mom we'd all like to be..... fun, loving, high energy and creative.  The kids were so great to just go along to all the locations we scouted out.  What troopers!  And this very sweet dog (a Weimaraner, by the way) is pretty amazing.  On the leash he pulls.  But the minute you take him off the leash he stays put and is happy just to be by you.  Oh so sweet!
I was kind of surprised to be back in Claremont yet again.  It seems like I've been there a lot lately.  But we did happen to find a wall we were looking for.  This mom knew the wall she wanted and just where to find it.  I love it when everything just works out.  I hope you enjoy a few shots from our outing...

Look at the motion in these feet..... Totally a signature of a toddler, the endless need to be on-the-go!  What energy they have!

This last picture I think actually was our last picture.  The day was done and the kids were rewarded with a fabulous homemade marshmallow from Marshmallow Mama.  See another post for some shots of these fabulous treats!!
