Way to bee (this graduate will get the joke)

I spent a recent afternoon with a future 2017 graduate.  Have I mentioned before that I love visiting with kids and the young adults they are becoming?  This young gentleman was especially nice.  Here are a few things you should know about this graduate:

• He is super respectful.  Great qualities that speak right to his upbringing.  
• He can hold a conversation and make eye contact....this boy will go far!
• He knows when to put down his phone and talk to you.... definitely a skill that many teens could learn.
• He is a good son.  Not all males love photography.  Actually that is quite rare.  I won't say that this graduate loved it more any any other man but he sure did his duty - all because he loves his mom, who wanted amazing images of her boy.

In the end, we had a great and successful shoot (minus a brief experience with a bee).  I had a great time hanging out with him and getting to know him better.  He's gonna soar!

The Joneses

These sisters and cousins got together for really fun photo shoot.  Can you believe the amazing colors going on in this photo shoot?!?!?  It was a really fun shoot with some super easy models.  No posing needed.... they are naturals!  Thanks for a fun day.

The Alexander Family

I met this family of five on a very cold day this last weekend.  If you know me at all, you know I love meeting new people, getting to know them and learn a little about their story.  This crew did not disappoint.  It was such a pleasure to get to know this sweet couple and their wonderful children.  These kids are the sort that know how to have fun, but are quick to be respond when mom or dad calls.  And so respectful.  I love that!  Such great kids.  Alexander family, you are one blessed bunch!

The Heinzerling and Brown Family

The word that comes to mind when I think of this family is "Fun".  These sweet and fun parents have 3 really fun boys.... they are funny together, were willing to be funny for my camera and felt free to express themselves.  Watch out for these 3.  They are unreserved and will go far in this world!  Sometimes when I photograph kids they are super reserved, but not these three.  I felt like I was able to see their real personalities. That's one of the things I like best about doing photo shoots at home.  Kids (and the rest of the family too) are on their own turf and tend to be more relaxed.  I loved how grandma, grandpa and uncle were included in the special day for a truly full family photo shoot.

The Thompson Family

I met this adorable little boy and his parents for a quick session at an amazing place.... where they were married several years ago.  I love it when we can combine a photo session with a meaningful place.  That's a great combo.  This family had love just oozing out of them.  You can see that this little guy is the apple of their eye, and for good reason, he's a cutie patootie!  Love his gorgeous big eyes.  You truly could just eat him up.

Fallin' for Fall

I think I might not be able to express how much I truly love the fall in Charlotte.  Being a native Southern Californian I really appreciate the dramatic change we get to see here each season, with fall being my hands-down favorite.
