This was one of those sessions that was scheduled a few times due to weather and the trees just not leafing out.  Then we sure hit the jackpot with the day we were finally able to meet up. The weather on this amazing spring day was just why we love living in Charlotte.  Those teeny baby leaves were just beginning to leaf out and led to the opportunity for a great session. Harlow 2021

I met up with these cuties last weekend at a small site with amazing fall foliage.  I'm not sure it would be possible to look at the beautiful images from this session without being in awe of the fall color this year. The only thing that outshone the color were the cute smiles of this funny bunch. Ross Family 2021

Another photo shoot for this bunch is in the books. I can hardly believe how crazy it is that their oldest was just a few days old when I met him. It's incredible how time just flies. These cuties are all growing like weeds and it is fun to capture their sweet expressions. Speight Family

So I photograph a lot of lovely families but this little guy and his parents hold a special place in my heart. He's a lot like my own son.... curious, interested in building, how things work and just an all around sweet boy. Over the years I've been able to see him grow from a toddler into the boy he is now with glimpses into the young man he's becoming. He loves the Lord and I so enjoy his innocence and enthusiasm for life.  Love this kid!

On this beautiful fall day I met up with this sweet family to capture yet another family session. What a joy to see this cousin crew in their matching shirts. Clay Wrisley

I've kind of come full circle with this young man. The first time I met and photographed him he was a very young boy in 3rd grade. Flash forward 9 years and we are now just past senior graduation and off to college. Wow, it's so crazy how these little people grow into adults, ready to head off into the world. It was a pleasure to hang out with him capturing some great shots for his family. I loved his willingness to spend a day in the warm Southern humidity all to fulfill the request of his sweet mom. She wanted some great images of her boy and he was happily willing to comply. This young man is just so good natured and easy going. I do sense the beginning of a great future. I really enjoyed hearing about his high school career as a runner and his successes in choir. And following a warm summer working outside I know he'll enjoy moving onto his new adventure in college and exploring a career in marketing. All the best to you, Clay. I know you'll go far!

Andrew's graduation

For this session I went to one of the most popular photo session locations, it seems, in all of South Charlotte. Lucky for us the site was empty on this early summer morning. This young man was super to work with..... easy posing and willing to go the distance to get some great shots for his family. It's funny, some guys are a bit awkward at first and loosen up as we go.  Not this guy.  This young man is the kind of guy you can just chat with and he just kind of fell into position right from the start. What a relaxed and easy session this was. We were even able to capture a few with his favorite buddy, Teddy. Andrew, congratulations on your graduation! All the best to you : )
