Birthday session

So yesterday was my birthday.  On my way to a terrible dentist appointment I happened upon an amazing spot for a photo shoot.  I had heard about it from a friend some time ago, but was so excited to see the blaze of color from these trees that just happened to be in full glory as I drove by.  And as if providential, it was my birthday and thus I was able to twist the arms of my kiddos and get them to do a quick photo shoot as a present to me.  What a great gift to give yourself.  Here's the neat spot and the beautiful little wonders I call mine....

The Russell Family

What a beautiful fall afternoon we had this past weekend.  The golden shades of the leaves made for the perfect backdrop with this sweet family.  It was a super quick session but we were able to get a lot of these kiddos.  Enjoy these lovely smiles....

Baptism

What an honor it was to be asked to photograph this sweet girl's baptism.  The ceremony was lovely and I was so glad to be part of their family's special day.  It's been fun to watch this young girl blossom into a gentle young lady.  Congratulations on your baptism!

Splish Splash, I was takin' a bath....

We enjoyed one of the last warm days of summer last week and captured a few of this little cutie in the tub.  What a sweetheart this little bathing beauty is.  She loved the bubbles!!!

On the move

This is from 3 months ago.  What in the world took me so long to post this, I'll never know.  What an adorable cutie with amazing eyes.  You can't help but melt at the sight of her infectious smile.  Love this girly!

Mackinac Island

So, I'm finally getting to editing my pictures from beautiful Michigan.  I'm starting with one of my favorite spots on earth.... Mackinac Island.   This little magical island is only accessible by ferry in late spring, summer and early fall.  The rest of the year Lake Huron freezes over, making passage to the island available to few that are willing to drive across the ice.  When you arrive on the island you soon realize the charm of a world without motor vehicles with transportation options being limited to walking, bicycles or horse drawn carriages.  Here are a few of my favorites from our time on Mackinac Island...
