Another visitor

We had another visitor in our yard this morning.... so cute!  This brings me back to the days when I had my own turtles, Myrtle and Mortoise.  We had California Desert Tortoises and they were my very first babies.  I loved those little guys. 

Wildlife

So..... I was inside doing some photo editing today when I hear my sweet Labrador Retriever, Annie, going bonkers out in the backyard.  I figured it was just a gardener visiting the neighbor or a rambunctious squirrel.  I wandered outside to discover a very creepy and large six foot snake slitering across my yard.  It started to make it's way up into a tree when I captured these pictures. 

 

 

The story ends well.  I followed this guy as he slithered across the yard and into the woods.  I felt slightly relieved as wiggled between the wire we have up on our split rail fencing leaving our property, but truly only slightly relieved.  As easy as this snake came in my yard, it just gives me reason to believe there are more of his friends out there.  What else it out in my yard?!?!?!

Russell James Harlow

A baby is always a blessed event, but this baby is extra special... he's my nephew.  My sister and her husband were gracious enough to allow me full access to their little bundle over a two day photo shoot so I could get a bunch of really sweet photos. This is their first baby so it is super fun to see the new parents in action.  My brother-in-law was already mastering the art of diapering at the hospital and my sister is such a super prepared mom.  An important thing to know about Russell... he doesn't like being naked, at all!  Hence the one photo of him screaming.  I had to include it (even though it is a bit cruel, however) because it just shows his little body so very well.  I hope you enjoy our new cutie!!!

The Harlow Family is Growing

Fall 2012

Fall hit hard a few weeks ago in my backyard.  There were just a few days where the leaves were absolutely perfect.   I love fall in North Carolina!

So, here's a super rare photo of me.  I don't often hand over my camera and get in a shot... a bad habit, truly.  Don't be like me.  Get in your family photos!!!

The Russell Family

I met up with this super sweet family at their home for a quick photo session yesterday.  Full of energy, their little guy did pause long enough for us to get some really cute shots.  What a spunky and fun kiddo.  Their littlest one just couldn't have been any sweeter.  He was alert as can be... great for a photo session : ).

The Eaton baby has arrived

What a fun morning I was able to have spending some time with this very cute baby and his adoring family.  This little one had just arrived home a few days earlier.  He performed beautifully, but only fell asleep at the very end of our shoot.  So in most of his pictures we were able to see him wide awake.  And as I expected, this big brother proudly kissed his baby and was such a good boy for our pictures.  Enjoy some pictures of this oh-so-cute little bundle of joy!
