MacKenzie

What a privilege it was to get to meet sweet 10 day old MacKenzie.  These all-so-ready and prepared parents told me their little one seemed older than ten days and seriously, she did!  It was crazy.  She was so alert for our shoot and gave us some adorable smiles.  I know everyone says babies don't really smile, but this one sure could have fooled me!  It was fun hanging out with this new family getting to know them better.  Thanks so much for a fun morning!

Trey Victor

I spent a most enjoyable morning hanging out with this amazing family and their incredible little 6 day old, Trey Victor.  Truly, this little one was just as cute as could be.  The crazy thing was that when I arrived at their house to set up, Tiffany gave me the tour so we could see where to set up.  Through the course of conversation I remembered that this family had JUST moved into their home only days before.  Not only had this mom delivered a baby, kept her toddler busy, but she also had time to decorate and unpack.  Talk about nesting in full action!  I was impressed because you would never know they had literally just moved in.  The new parents even had some pretty cool set ups for our session.

Lylah May

Beautiful little Lylah May has been blessed with a great family.  I loved how this mom and dad were so relaxed during this special first week at home. It's so nice when daddy is able to stay home and be a part of this bonding time.  It seemed like just another day in this house, but I guess by the third time around they are really old pros at the newborn game.  It was fun sitting in their family room chatting about both of our days in Pasadena while we waited for this little cutie to get comfortable and ready for the next scene.  To see the entire time shooting this teeny newborn check out the full slide show at:  https://vimeo.com/94421864

Russell is one!

So sweet little Russell is one.... what a lively session this one was.  We played peek-a-boo, toddled around the house, had fun with bubbles and giggled up a storm.  If you can't tell, this little wonder is quite a character.  He loves to make you laugh and fake laughs just to get you started.  And then there are his dimples and gorgeous blue eyes.  I think the girls will be falling over this cutie some day.  To see all of this session, check out the slideshow at https://vimeo.com/91864393

Hints of spring to come

So yes, it's still officially winter, but spring is beginning in just one teeny corner of my yard.  Seriously, it is super teeny but it's my little glimpse into the unfolding magic of spring.  I can't wait to see all of the glory of God's great creation change yet again with another season.  

Last of the snow

With spring nipping at our heels, I thought I'd post the last of my snow pictures for this winter.... although according to the Farmer's Almanac there is just the teeniest chance of a bit more snow this week.  Regardless, it's feeling warm and sunny and I figured I'd better get these posted asap prior to everything coming beautifully into bloom.

Oh, the glorious snow.  We loved every second of it!

I really couldn't help myself with this one.  I saw some snow just melting off this beautiful moss covered rock and had to take a quick shot of it.  I love how green life still prevails even under all the ice and snow.
