On what felt like the warmest day of the year, I met up with this sweet mama and her new little one to capture some really pretty cute images of this sweetie pie. It was fun getting to hear her birth story and remembering my own. Getting to photograph someone's newborn and getting an opportunity to get a up close and personal glimpse into the life of a new mom is such a gift. I love how new moms gush over their adorable little ones and again I recall all those same feelings myself with my own precious newborn.

Georgia turns one!!

So this little cutie turned one!  I can't believe how quickly this year has gone.  She is the youngest of three and the last baby in our big family of 13 cousins.  To my youngest niece... happy birthday sweet Georgia!

Dunning

This family may just be cuteness overload.  I photographed their sweet family just a little over a year ago and now, flash forward, we have a new arrival.  Scratch that... new arrivals (plural).  This family has been blessed with twins!  I was overjoyed to hear their news and thrilled to be able to meet these little ones and capture a few precious images from their beginning weeks of life.  Below are a few of my favorites.

A little longer than usual : )

When I look back at these pictures I remember the day I hung out with this newest member of this sweet family.  This was kind of an unusual shoot that we had to spread out a little due to some family stuff.... but oh, were they worth it!  Take a look at this sleepy little cutie below and know that while he looks adorable in these images, we really didn't have to work too hard for this one.  He was just perfect and performed beyond expectations.

This kid loves being outside!

What a joy it was to get to spend an evening with this lovely young family.  I so enjoyed visiting with this sweet couple, hearing their birth story and how our paths in life had some amazing similarities.  What a small world it really is.
 All children are an amazing blessing and this family also knows that that their child is a miracle.  And yes, what a miracle this little guy is!  Our session started at home and we ventured into the out-of-doors where this little wonder is at his best.  It turns out he's an outside kind of kid.  It's it interesting that at even just a few weeks old even he knows that he likes it outside!

Sweet baby Willow

Baby photo shoots are typically just hang out sessions for me.  We get the little one all cozy and happy, shoot for a couple of minutes until they fuss and then mama cuddles baby until we are cozy again.  I get to spend a lot of time just hanging out visiting.... I'm in my element.  This session was no exception.  This little one performed beautifully and let us play with her, and I had plenty of time to chat and get to know this wonderful family.

This session was a little different because we also went to the park.  That's not typical for me, but we had previously scheduled a maternity family session that we could just never have happen.  All the forces of weather and illness were against us.  But on this day we finally had success.  I love the sweet spirit of this gentle family.  They are a connected couple.... you can see it in their pictures when they look at each other.  So sweet.  Enjoy these images of this very lovely family...

Alessandra Leigh

I met this little bundle of joy on a cool winter morning.  It was cold outside but warm and cozy in the sunny, indoor spot where we did our session.  Its always fun working with little cuties like this one.  I have a special spot for those little toes.  Take a look at her image below with the little tushie and the pink tutu.  Absolutely adorable!  It was fun visiting with this family.  Even grandma was there enjoying the new arrival.

Ava's First Birthday

This sweet little girly turned one!  To celebrate, we took her out to a few fun spots around town.  Along with her brothers, we dressed up this little wonder in a bunch of fun outfits.  It turns out big brothers love balloons, but not so much with this sweet girl.
