Legvold Family

I'm pretty sure I might have mentioned this a time or two, but I love photographing families. I love the pre-session chat where we discuss the client's hope for the session. I love how we decide where we will go. I also love the day of.... getting to meet the whole group and see their bunch in action.  This group did not disappoint. I've known this mama for quite a few years now and it was my joy to get to see her sweet crew all together. We had decided this would be a partial family session combined with a senior session for her oldest. I was thrilled to be able to capture his great love for this mighty big and special truck. I hope these images are some he's able to show his own kiddos years from now and recall all the fun times from his high school years.

Andrew Nichols

Senior sessions are so inspiring. These kids are just about to set off on a huge adventure and I get the blessing of capturing the moments just prior to launch. On this day I had the wonderful chance to meet up with a mom I've recently gotten to know through our common volleyball connection. I've enjoyed hearing about his big decisions for the schools that were wooing him and will look forward to hearing about his college and future professional endeavors. Maybe we will even see his name on the ballot some day. Look out world, this young man is on his way to something big!

Bartholf Family

This was one of those sessions that was scheduled a few times due to weather and the trees just not leafing out.  Then we sure hit the jackpot with the day we were finally able to meet up. The weather on this amazing spring day was just why we love living in Charlotte.  Those teeny baby leaves were just beginning to leaf out and led to the opportunity for a great session. Harlow 2021

I met up with these cuties last weekend at a small site with amazing fall foliage.  I'm not sure it would be possible to look at the beautiful images from this session without being in awe of the fall color this year. The only thing that outshone the color were the cute smiles of this funny bunch. Ross Family 2021

Another photo shoot for this bunch is in the books. I can hardly believe how crazy it is that their oldest was just a few days old when I met him. It's incredible how time just flies. These cuties are all growing like weeds and it is fun to capture their sweet expressions. Speight Family

So I photograph a lot of lovely families but this little guy and his parents hold a special place in my heart. He's a lot like my own son.... curious, interested in building, how things work and just an all around sweet boy. Over the years I've been able to see him grow from a toddler into the boy he is now with glimpses into the young man he's becoming. He loves the Lord and I so enjoy his innocence and enthusiasm for life.  Love this kid!

On this beautiful fall day I met up with this sweet family to capture yet another family session. What a joy to see this cousin crew in their matching shirts.
